Rowan!

This morning Finn amazed, "I can't believe we have kitties and Christmas is in just a few days." As his kitty purred in his lap this morning he commented that it made him so excited and happy that he felt like crying. Rowan (formerly Cherokee)is 9 weeks old and purrs when he looks at you. He is a snuggle bunny and has quickly learned how to keep up with his new brother.

Indy!

His name was Indiana Jones and he was the first kitten we picked up yesterday. He snuggled in our arms for quite awhile until he showed us his playful side in the adoption room. He is 12 weeks old and Rain is smitten.

Early Christmas

Yesterday we took Rain and Finn to the Humane Society to pick out Christmas kittens. It didn't take long to find their favorites and we are all so happy with them!

Finn was off to school today like a pro. When I picked him up he almost knocked me down with ginormous hugs and said school was great. Upon further reflection, he decried,"Medium." What a momentous occasion. Rain is back to school and in second grade. He was quite happy to be back.

We just got back today from Katie and Tracey's wedding in Oakland, CA. It was so lovely to share their special day and see two people who love each other so completely marry legally in the USA. It was personal and beautiful and on another level historical. We felt so special to be there. Happy Life my friends!

Kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay

Kayaking is so fun and easier than it may seem. We kayaked for three hours with our guide Dan and saw some cool fiddler crabs, pelicans, heron, and a horseshoe crab.
